Bridges

A blockchain bridge carries assets or messages between otherwise separate networks by verifying events and authorizing corresponding actions elsewhere.

Blockchains are isolated silos that cannot natively communicate. With the increase in the number and size of different blockchain ecosystems, there is a need for infrastructure that connects them.

Bridges connect blockchains and enable:

  • the cross-chain transfer of assets
  • the cross-chain transfer of information
  • multi-chain dApps, such as a cross-chain decentralized exchange or a multi-chain yield aggregator
